The Skyline Tower is a low-income highrise apartment building in St. Paul, Minnesota. Constructed from 1971 to 1972, the building has 24 floors and a height of 277 ft (84 m). it contains 506 units. Originally part of HUD's section 236 programme, it was then sold to private owners and converted tofederally subsidised housing. After its opening, it became plagued by high crime and began deteriorate. Eventually, a security system was installed in 1996, and the building was renovated in 2000.
