This Gamesa G90/2000 wind turbine, located on the University of Delaware campus in Lewes, and completed in 2010, provides up to 2 megawatts of power into the city of Lewes power grid. It was constructed to experiment with wind power and to study the feasibility of offshore wind farms proposed for the Delaware coastline.
