Langar House also sometimes know as Langar Houz is a part of Hyderabad, India. Langar means mega cooking place , During the Muslim Bahmani Sultanate this was the place all the food was cooked and hence which was then carried into the fort and all the people were fed and Hence the name 'Langar' House. It is very near by to Golconda fort which is one of the famous citadels in South India. There is a Military Hospital and a central school Kendriya Vidyalaya Golconda No.1 in Langar House. It has become a gateway to around 20 Engineering colleges as the students stay in rented apartments/houses etc.
