Lange Jaap is another name for the Kijkduin lighthouse near the Fort Kijkduin, in Huisduinen, the first settlement in the area of Den Helder, Noord-Holland.
The construction of the tower began in 1877 and it was until 1974 the highest lighthouse in the Netherlands (With a height of 63.45 meters). It is the highest cast iron tower in Europe.
