  • Thiruvottiyur(TVT) is one of the good place to make a resident, here some of the reasons, 24hrs transport from TVT to all around chennai. There was no water problem even in very worse period, Famous attraction Vadivudai Amman Temple and Guru Temple was loacted in TVT. All well known major companies like MRF,SRF,IOCL,Ashokleyland,Carborundum,Enfield , Chennai Port are located near TVT,For all major companies like FORD, Hyundai , Visteon , Infosys and All major colleges provides transportation from TVT to their location.Hospitals like Rainy Hospital, Appolo Hospitals are very near ( 15min by bus or car)from TVT. I m very proud to be a resident in Thiruvottiyur.

Thiruvottiyur is home of the ancient Thyagaraja Swamy Vadivudaiamman Temple and location of the samadhi of saint Pattinathar. This temple was visited by many saints and poets like Appar, Sundarar, Gnana Sambandhar, Thyagayyar, Vallalar, Valmiki, Kambar, Adisankarar etc. Transports has been excellent which is connecting the whole chennai from thiruvottiyur(Ajax).Trains has been increasing day by day via thiuvottiyur. we have two stations wimco nagar and thiruvottiyur. Education According to census 2001 thiruvottiyur avg 77% having the higher average than the national avg of 59.5%. male literacy is 82% and female is 71% in thiruvottiyur,One of the best school is Vellayan chettiar higher secondary school.
