Phyonggang is a gun, or county, in Kangwon Province. It borders Sepo to the north, Chorwon to the south, Ichon to the west, and Changdo to the east. A portion of the county is occupied by the Yongam wetland, which also crosses into Chorwon.
The land has a very developed agricultural center and mining is abbundunt. The population here is 100,800 persons.
