Opened in 1985 as the CFISD's fourth high school, Langham Creek (aka "LC") gets its name from a nearby tributary that is part of the Addicks Reservoir Watershed, and is one of three high schools in the CFISD (along with Jersey Village and Windfern) that does not include "Cypress" as a part of the school's name.
