Turudihi village set up in 1962 by the then DNK Govt. by settling more than 100 families migrated from East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh). The village is one among 53 villages of Umerkote Zone of Dandyakaranya Project of Govt. of India. The village is handed over to Orissa Govt. in 1985.
