Now a long term acute care hospital, they provides services to medically complex patients who have suffered recent catastrophic illnesses or injuries and require an extended length of stay in an acute care environment. An urgent care is on-site in the former emergency room area.

The hospital was formerly known as Mercy Hospital, and later, Columbus Community Hospital. During those years, the building served as a normal hospital for south side residents.
