Bahsuma lies 35 km north-east of Meerut lying between latitude 29° 12'N and longitude 77° 58'E. The main crop is sugarcane and a canal is the chief source of irrigation. The weaving of handloom cloth is the main industry of the place.it is also famous for great history of raja Nain Singh Nagar. Legend holds that Bahsuma was a part of Hastinapur 5 km towards the south-east, and served as the treasury of the Kauravas and Pandavas. The place got its name from 'vasu' which means treasure. Gujar raja made it his headquarters during his reign. The house of the raja and a fort built by him still bear testimony to a bygone era. Handloom weaving is the main industry of the place. Bahsuma is connected to Meerut by a good road.
