Tikhaya Bay in Terpeniya Bay
Shallow, 0-0.5 m deep at low tide. The rocks of the surrounding rocks include quartz inclusions, to the north of the cove one can see outcrops of coal. Beautiful views of hills, grottoes, rocks of bizarre shape. The place is popular among tourists.
In February, according to other data on October 5, 1976, one of the Tu-95RTs (also called Tu-95RC (Bear D)) with the tail number 5800205 of the 1023rd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment (TBAP) crashed and fell 12 km, according to other data just over a kilometer, from the coast of Sakhalin in Tikhaya Bay in Terpeniya Bay. On board were 2 atomic bombs.
