Krasheninnikov bay - a bay on the east coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. Located within the southern part of the larger Avacha Bay between the peninsula and the mainland Krasheninnikov. Open to the north, juts into the mainland by 10 km. Width at the entrance of 3,6 km. Depth of 22 m

The bay named after Stepan Petrovich Krasheninnikov - explorer & researcher of Kamchatka, who stayed here in 1739 and named the bay Tar'in. Later it was renamed in his honor 'Krasheninnikov Bay'.On the shore of the bay in 1854 after an attack on Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was buried British Rear Admiral David Price.

Many streams flow into the bay, the largest of which are good sources of herring. On the coast of the bay and on the Cape are three designated river areas: Kazak, Nevodchikova and input. In the bay are three smaller three smaller bays: Herring Bay, Gorbushechya bay and bay berry. Next to Cape Nevodchikova is the island Hlebalkin on which to build a lighthouse.

On the shore of the bay are the administrative locations: Viluchinsk, Rybachiy ('fishing village') and Sel'devaya ('herring village'). Together they form the Closed administrative security area of Viluchinsk, a part of the bay Kamchatka Russia.Home to the Nuclear Missile Submarine component of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy.
