The history of Burhanpur, a district which was called 'the door to deccan' by Mughal rulers of India. Mumtaz died in Burhanpur and was kept buried before being taken to Agra. Residents observe this festival every year on June 7, despite the fact that historians claim that she died on June 17. People are becoming aware, but more efforts should be made to preserve the original tomb of Mumtaz. It's condition is deteriorating day by day,"
