This mine profitably excavated the whole mountain at Hayden Hill during the 1990s. This was allowed with the understanding that a the new fire lookout tower on Snag Hill would be built within the year after the historical fire lookout tower on Hayden Hill was razed. It was finally built three years later, and was built so shoddily that it wasn't usable until after a full year of rehabilitation.
