Sag Gate Tower - Tailors Tower

Was one of the main gates into the City. It was built in the first half of the 15th century,extended/rebuilt 100 years later, demolished in 1858 together with all the defence system(bastion demolished 1852,walls)
In 1830 was created in the City wall a new gate, next to the tower.
During the rehabilitation of Turnului St (2012-2013) the foundations of the tower were discovered - the northern wall with the buttresses (see the last 2 pictures)
The tower foundations will be marked on the pavement
