  • Meriwether Cemetery. Original farm of William Meriwether from Virginia. Served with George Rogers Clark. Brick mansion built in 1833 by son David Meriwether, politician and Gov. of New Mexico Territory. He was originally buried in this cemetery but in 1911 many family graves were moved to Cave Hill Cemetery. Only a few graves were left here. Mansion demolished in 1950s when land sold to Stauffer Chemical Co. Sharon@MeriwetherSociety.org
