WWII coast defense battery comprised of two 5.5-inch guns removed from the British battlecruiser HMS Hood, prior to her sinking at the hands of the Bismarck.
The guns were restored during the 1980s and again in the 1990s.
The battery engaged a U-boat during the war, and stopped it from raiding the harbor.
