Krasnoyarsk mounted railway - the first monorail road with mechanical (motovoznoy) thrust, the experience of construction and operation of which was the basis for further construction of monorail roads in the Soviet Union.
Krasnoyarsk road built in 1928.1929, the joint-stock company "Nizhkapstroy" for the development of valuable pine array that is remote from the Volga River and rafting rivers - Kerzhents and Doroguchi.
The decisive factor for choosing this type of road is rugged terrain: dune hillocks up to 3.6 m, alternating with swamps, would require too much digging to land (rail or icy) roads.
The road went into operation in 1930 with the rolling stock: Kleinlokomotive design MP Andreev in excess of 4 units with motors AMO y. 15 "36 hp carriages and 68 of his own design with a vertical metal frames.
All rolling stock is made in the construction of studios equipped road.
Annual load of the road project in 1928 to 80000 m3 average distance hauling 24 km.
During his work in 1930 on April 1, 1935 road carried 325,500 m 3, including 80% of valuable export and industrial wood.
For six years the road overpass in tatters and was unfit for further use.
