Meruntum Lagoon

Malaysia / Sabah / Putatan / Putatan Road

This lagoon is located along Putatan Road and is bounded by the Dumpil Spit. Part of this area was breached in 2000 due to ongoing erosion exacerbated by a tropical storm. The lagoon is always visited by fishermen. The southern beach area consists of sandy clay. The shore line along the northern part of the lagoon has sandy soil.
