At Thiruvananthapuram SAINT RAMANURJAR wanted to see nambi at Tirurukurungudi and slept ,On waking up he saw he is at this (THIRU PARIVATTAPPARAI) in the middle of the river NAMBIYARU in Thirukurungudi,and here gurungudi nambi helped him in preparation of his prayer in the form of Ramanujars shisya VADUGANAMBI .in this temple there is a rock image of RAMANUJAR and THULASI PLANT. the temple is situated in the river nambiyaru.here the nambi advised a brahmin and a tribalman who were fighting regarding their duties , to have a dip in this place and hence attained mukthy, it is intresting that even now the dalits of this region perform the last rituals in this spot.an ideal place for peaceful meditation
