Ghatbori is a very beautiful place surrounded by lush green hill ranges of Satpuda mountain. This is a very much isolated village from the crowd and has retained the originality; sacrificing all the modernity. The village has all the places designated for common meeting place (Chawadi), Weekly Market (Athawadi Bajarpeth), Temple (Mandir) and Gym (Akhada). The peoples of village are of more than 50 communities and residing in clusters. The common language is Marathi for communication but also Hindi, Urdu, Banjary, Wadary, Marwadi languages are also spoken as family languages. The peoples of different castes like Kunabhi/Marathi, Lingayat, Mahar, Banjara, Sonar, Chambhar, Brahmin, Tambatkar, Teli, Mali from Hindu religion and Muslims and Boudha are residing united. The central part of village constitutes mostly vegetarian peoples. The entrance (Gate way) of Ghatbori is very ancient and sturdy made up of the stones without cement (Looks like Gate way of India.
Mejority of the peoples are farmer and they produce the grains like Soyabean, Mung, Udit and Cotton. The surrouded hills are known for natural resources for Honey, Gum, Beedipatta and Teak wood. Ghatbori has forest range office. Very few but some of the families (Zade, Dongare, Chukewar, Nawale and Shankarwar) are highly educated having PhDs and masters in modern fields like Bussiness, Education, Biotechnology and Chemistry. Now many students are lerning in many diciplines like bussiness, Law, Languages, education, Medical and enegineering and in next 5 to 10 years more than 100 students will be spread through out the world from such a tiny village. Currently, many peoples born in Ghatbori are spread through out india for different jobs and they are helping each others.
There is historical place called Sitanahani close to the village. There are Saptarushi (Seven rushi) temples in the peripheri (15km) of this village. The floura and Founa of the forest contains trees of Teak-wood, Khair, Beheda, Neem, Babool, Mango, Arjun and Parrot, Sparrows, Crows, Vultures, Owl, Tigers/Panthers, Wolfs, Sneaks (Rat sneaks/ mostly non-poisonous).
