  • as per the hindu mythology, current lord ganesha idol is from the time of prince nal & princess damayanti. afterwards peshwas have build small temple for lord ganesha which later on demolished by mughals. however peshwas's have hide lord ganesha's idol in pond which is situated at rear side of present temple. after a very long period, one fine day lord ganesha came in the dream of local village (titwala) prist (joshi) & ask to dig out his idol. today you can see, lakhs of people came to titwala.
