Buckley has three areas of common land; the Lower Common, Middle Common and Higher Common. They are green spaces and recreation grounds maintained by Flintshire County Council

This, the Lower Common, is wilder than the Higher and Middle Commons and has more trees, shrubs, wildflowers and also has several small ponds.
