FreeGeek Vancouver, at 1820 Pandora, is a cheap computer recycler. They offer refurbished machines, with Linux preinstalled. They are rather snobby and snooty, against Windows, and take a rather "holier than thou" attitude about using free and open-source software. Strictly controlled and dominated by a certain female with a name like she popped out of a sci-fi novel; many think she should return it and leave the place alone. Cameras everywhere, volunteers who don't last long, and filthy kitchen/can. Their stuff is OK, but you have to know what you want and what they give you. The price difference between their recycled junk and something brand new is very little; people would be better off just buying a carefully chosen new item somewhere else. Good luck...
