BNRHouse :This historic BNR House also known as Rail House is the official residence of the General Manager of SE Railway. This house was built originally for the Commissioner of the East India Company in 1846. After the defeat of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Awadh or Lucknow in the hands of the Britishers on 7th February 1956,he was kept here in House Arrest till he breathed his last on 1st September 1887. This building was converted to a railway hospital by the BNR railway around 1903 and subsequently became the official residence of GM,SE Rly.
