railway, rail-trail, Kettle Valley Railway (KVR), interesting place, railway bridge, historic landmark
The short stretch of the former Kettle Valley Railway line east of Brodie is one of the more beautiful sections along the Trans Canada Trail, with the railway line and the Coldwater River continually trading sides as each tries to gain the advantage through the narrow canyon. In a short 3.5-mile/5.5-km stretch there are six bridges crossing the river. All bridges have been planked and handrailed for hikers, cyclists and horseback riders.
This deck truss bridge is 110 feet (33 m) long.
