This refugee camp was created after 1975, and received the name of this location in the former Spanish Sahara. The UNHCR has indicated that approximately between 155,000-190,000 Sahrawis are present on Algerian territory, while Algerian authorities estimate their number in 165,000, on the other side the Moroccan government estimate their number around 45,000 to 50,000.

And please don't send any message to the refuggees! They can't answer, because all Internet activities are contolled by the POLISARIO-security-agency.

Journalists allowed to attend only selected projects in these camps. Free reporting, there is almost none. Here is an exception, a critical review of the Moroccan television. If it is also of the political opponents of the Polisario, it is nevertheless worth seeing when the bad news situation.
