Were various Schools play Soccer and Rugby. On weekends local football clubs play. The whole area used to be gravel pits incl the adjoining golf course up until the late 40's.

  • The fields have been managed and maintained by Old Meadonians FC (formed by ex pupils of Chiswick Grammar School in 1929) since 2001. London Borough of Hounslow Council granted a 20 year rolling management agreement in 2007 incorporating Chiswick Rugby Club. All maintenance work is carried out Monday to Friday and at the weekends over 600 people enjoy the facilities. Football, Rugby, Softball, Frisbee, mini Rugby and "one off" sports related events. This facility is a pre-booked venue and any use does need to be charged. As these are privately managed Sports Fields, in line with local Authority bye laws on Dogs, a total Dog exclusion policy is in force. Access is from two gates. One on the Chertsey Road and one on Dan Mason Drive. These are locked when there is no sporting activity taking place.
