275 acres located on Brulee Point overlooking the Les Cheneaux Islands, the Birdge Nature Preserve is owned by the Little Traverse Conservancy. It captures the quiet solitude of the Lake Huron shoreline and surrounding wetlands at three separate locations, and is an impressive complex of cedar wetlands, hardwoods, a small lake and more than 6,400 feet of frontage on Mismer Bay. A short trail to Loon Lake provides opportunities to see beaver, bald eagles, osprey and many other mammals and birds. A 2.5 mile loop trail recently added for hiking.
