The former maintenance and electric shops of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, built 1907. The buildings and land were purchased in 1959 from the railroad for $3 million by the Consolidated Edison Co. of N.Y. The Con Edison Plant consists of 940,000 square feet.
