Guilin Railway Station is the hub of rail networks in southern China. It is located in the south of the city. There are 2 train stations in Guilin. Both stations operating 66 arrivals and departures daily. Guilin Railway Station (South Station) is to the south of the city centre but is more conveniently situated than the North Station. The North Station is situated in the suburbs of the city and has less convenient links with the centre. Guilin is directly linked to Beijing, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Kunming, Shanghai and Xi'an. Trains from Kunming and from westerly directions arrive and depart from the north station while trains from northerly directions operates from the south station.
