The four story, 27,000 sq. ft., red brick building, designed by Rhines Bellman & Nordhoff, was constructed in 1940 as home for WSPD radio owned by Storer Broadcasting. It was also the site of the first television broadcast in Toledo in 1948 and the 28th in the United States. Later (1983-2001) the studios were utilized by the Public Broadcasting Foundation radio WGTE and Channel 30 TV.
