A beautiful village surrounded by fields and UdayaGiri Fort. From my house I could get an enchanting view of green Western Ghats, where clouds take nap in the afternoon! Probably the place got its name due to presence of tigers in those days. - Raghu Kumar .G

  • I also belong to Puliyoorkurichy. My house was the Ist house in single street
  • The name is a mixture of Puliyoor Village in Tirunelveli or near Chidambaram and Kurichy neat Tanjore or vice versa. It is not because of presence of tigers.
  • nice place...
  • I too belong to Puliyoorkurichy. Our father was a headmaster of the Govt High School, Thuckalay. We used to walk to the school and come back by walk. Bus transport was a luxury then. Our father's name is Sri N. Ganapathy Iyer, M.A., L.T. G. Kannan/Gopalan. We visited the village after a long time. A memorable visit indeed
  • My Name is Ananda giri babu. we lived in double street for 4 years and my childhood memories full of Puliyoorkurichy only
