Weapons firing range run for the MoD by QinetiQ (formerly Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA))

Eskmeals range is located in Cumbria in the northwest of England. Specialises in range and accuracy trials, and hard target trials. Eskmeals can accommodate trials within its air danger areas of up to 80,000 ft with NOTAM action.

The range has an engineering facility with a workshop, a customer business suite and an ammunition compound for explosive and inert storage. It also offers design services. Eskmeals, offers the following capabilities:

Measurement Devices. Facilities to measure velocity, internal and external pressure, spin rate, strain, moment of inertia, centre of gravity, target strike and fragmentation.
Workshop and Customer Business Suite. We provide internet, phone services and on-site catering.
