A valley in the western Wicklow Mountains. A large part of it comprises the Glen of Imaal Firing Range, one of the main Irish Army training sites.

Comments

  • Its also where Michael Dwyer came from. Dwyer fought in the 1799 Rebellion in Ireland and is considered a hero. His cottage still exists today. It is also the place of origin of the eponymous dog breed, the Glen of Imaal Terrier.
