Warren is the county seat and most populated community of Trumbull County, Ohio. The city's population was 46,832 as of the 2000 census.
At the beginning of the 19th century, Trumbull County encompassed the large portion of Northeast Ohio once known as the Connecticut Western Reserve. Because of this, Warren bills itself as "historic capital of the Western Reserve."
Warren is the birthplace of musician Dave Grohl (who has an alley here named after him), and part-time childhood home of astronaut Neil Armstrong.
