NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, veterinary clinic / surgery, closed / former military, historic landmark
This Type C-5 Veterinary Clinic was constructed in January 1941 to care for the horses and mules of the 76th Field Artillery Regiment and 107th Cavalry stationed at Fort Ord. The building originally contained two horse stocks and two hitching rails to serve the high number of horses and mules once located here. In 1946, when this became the Station Veterinary Command Office, the stocks and rails were removed. The remains of these can still be seen today.
