Chandpur is a town and Nagar Palika Parishad in Jalilpur Block Chandpur Tehsil in Bijnor District of Uttar Pradesh.
Chandpur is a very small & old town. Chandpur is 140 Kilometer from national capital Delhi, and 110 Kilometer from Meerut.Chandpur is well connected and 38 Kilometer far from Gajraula on National highway-24,( Delhi-Luchnow Highway).
It is said about Chandpur that many royal merchants lived here . These merchants worked outside the city and earned money.They bring money in the city & do some business. This was the trend of the people of Chandpur in those days. Thats why it is some what rich town till now. Most of the people are leaving this city as they think there is less chance of progress in this city.But what data says that this town will become a good trade center of district Bijnor.
Young generation is being progressive in city,They are looking for other alternative of profession while acquiring higher education as MBA,CAs,Engineering and Medical from premiere Institute as IIT,CMD,Modinagar.Despite of less awareness about professional education in city, Chandpur has given many talented professionals to many industries as software, marketing, automobile etc. Most of the young professionals from Chandpur are serving in bigger MNC based in metro cities of India as Delhi, Noida,Chandigarh,Bangalore etc.
