The Langdon Hills Recreation Ground is a park that includes a cricket pitch, football pitches, tennis courts and a children's playground. Much of the ground is a conservation area where rare wild flowers are allowed to grow and go to seed before being cut. To the South and east it is connected to woodlands that form part of the Langdon hills nature reserve. To the North it is next to housing where the main entrance to the park is accessed at the end of New Avenue. The ground is managed by Basildon District Council.
