Sri Ramalingeshwara Swamy's temple-Amanagallu village 10 km south from Suryapet, 140 Km east of Hyderabad. The temple is built on a sole hillock of about 100 m height. it presents a great scenic beauty overlooking the amangal nallacheruvu lake of 2,25 sq.kms and green fields around and durajpalli hills touching the sky on the easternside. a perfect location for film/TV serial shootings. popular for a big annual jatara (THIRUNAALLU- held around Feb-March-15 days after maha shivaraatri -pournima) sports events. one of the listed places of archeological department for sculpture and inscriptions. it is after this diety that SRI society a NGO in the village founded by GVS Reddy (gaddam vishnu swaroop reddy) is named which contributed roads, canals, frluride -free drinking water systems and promotion of SRI system of rice cultivation, date palms promotion, AIDS prevention, etc,.
