Balkapan han (bg Балкапанъ ханъ, tur. Balkapanı Han): There is an area in Eminönü between Yeni Mosque and Küçük Pazar, surrounded by Hasırcılar, Tahtakale, Balkapanı and Cömert streets. As it is understood from its name, Balkapanı Han is a trade center where honey from customs is stacked and distributed to the public. There is a vaulted cellar dated to the 12th and 13th centuries under this inn that is not a token. Considering that the region was a Venetian settlement during the Byzantine era, it seems that the inn was built on a building belonging to this period. Due to the construction technique and the presence of the Haghia Sophia Mosque as a property, the construction date of the 16th century BC. . Most of the rooms of the inn are built today as two storeys and are built around a large courtyard.

Balkapani Han is one of the biggest hunters, the hans. It has the most added historical building title. It's so valuable that nobody can pronounce it. Han craftsman wants this place to remain as an inn.
