Constructed in 1907 to the design of architect Arthur Daw,as a Foresters Hall. The building has had many uses throughout its history, being a hat factory in the 1920s and a Maori Presbyterian Church from the 1930s onwards. During WWII it became the Auckland Maori Presbyterian Church. The name Maori Hall has remained from this period. In 2004 the Maori Presbytery gifted the hall to the Pacific Island Presbyterian Church [PIPC] across the road.
