Adro is a small town in the west of Brescia's province, with few more than 7000 inhabitants is situated on the Brescia-Bergamo midway. The landscape is tipically of Franciacorta scenery surrounded hills filled with vineyards; the city centre borders at est with Torbiato centre and at south with the industrial zone near the motorway.
The town is picturesque overhung by the ghibelline tower with a beautiful bowl square.
There are many churches like the S.Giovanni Battista church and the best know Madonna della neve sanctuary. In Adro you can find a great variety of different times buildings from the ancient parish to the many liberty palaces; the most important is Palazzo Bargnani Dandolo (currently hometown).
The economy is based on industry and wine production (Franciacorta DOCG).
Most know persons are Padre Costantino Ruggeri (architect), Liliana Betti (Federico Fellini assistant), Claudio Lancini (know as DJ Lancinhouse) and Paolo Corsini (Brescia city former mayor).
Adro is the most clean city of Lombardy with 80% door to door waste gathering.
