Home of the Calgary Flames(NHL),Calgary Hitmen(WHL)and the Calgary Roughnecks (NLL). The Pengrowth Saddledome was originally named the Olympic Saddledome. Ice hockey and figure skating were held there for the 1988 Winter Olympics. It is named so because its shape resembles a saddle- reflecting Calgary's western heritage.
