  • This is a tiny village where my father and 2 elder brothers were born. Also I spent many vacations in this village with some of my childhood friends.
  • Inhabitants of this village are Hindu and mother tougue is Assamese. As per ancestry two brothers "Bira & Bara" came to this place in the 14th century and made this place their home. At present it has become a modern village having LP, MV and High School. The people of this village observe "Maghi Purnima" every year as their main yearly festival where huge people gathers. I am the grand son of late Pandit Chandra Kanta Thakuria and son of Payodhar Thakuria, now a resident of Kahilipara, Guwahati Assam. Me and my elder brother, both are now a resident of United States of America. We spent some of our important times in this village in our childhood. I wrote this just to introduce my old village to this world.
