The southern end of this spot was a former location for restaurant Country Kitchen from May 1, 1958 until around mid-July 1981 (relocated to Dells Market Place at 800 US Highway 12 [across the street east from here {building demolished around 2014, currently a Pontiac Fiero car ranch that is part of #FYP Totally 80's}]), it became a visitor's area information center (original Country Kitchen restaurant building demolished in the early 1980's; area information center building constructed/opened in around early 1980's) from early 1980's until it was demolished around 1987; the northern end of this spot was a former gas station Standard Oil from the 1950's until it was demolished around 1987. This entire spot became a gas station and convenience store Uncle Dan's Shell Stop & Shop along with tourist information center Dells Info Center (combined in one building, which was constructed around 1988) from around 1988 until its closure around late 2010. That building was demolished around early 2011 except for the gas station. The current building was constructed around early 2011 and the new Shell convenience store (located in the second half of the building) was opened around Spring 2011, while Dunkin' Donuts (located in the first half of the building) was opened on June 4, 2011. And finally the Shell gas station was closed (including its convenience store in this building was also closed) and demolished around December 2021 which would later become a parking lot, double drive-thru lanes, and outdoor seating area for the doughnut shop/future ice cream parlor, while Dunkin' Donuts (shortened to Dunkin' in January 2019) was temporarily closed around late-June 2022 for the remodeling of this building in order to make room for Baskin Robbins ice cream parlor and for the dining/seating area (both located mostly in the former Shell convenience store). Dunkin' Donuts was reopened (under its shorter name Dunkin') and Baskin Robbins was opened in mid-July 2022. It is the second Baskin Robbins in the Wisconsin Dells area after Lake Delton.
