Užugiris manor belonged to Taujėnai manor, rulled by counts Radvila in 18-19th centuries. It belonged to Radvila's until 1922 land reform. It was parceled out and forfeited by state. Antanas Smetona, Lithuania president was born in this estate in August 10, 1874.
Manor takes 24,56 hectare area. Current manor was formed in previous manor place. It consist of 17 manor buildings and park. Smetona received the manor as a gift in 1938 when his 60 year yubilee was mentioned. Engineer architect F. Vizbaras prepared manor project and supervised constructing works.
