Snowshoe Mountain is a ski resort, and one of the largest in the Southeastern United States. It opened in 1974, and has 42 runs at the main resort. (Snowshoe also owns Silver Creek resort to the north, and the two share one lift ticket.) In the summer, the resort offers a golf course and mountain biking.
