Stowe was one of the first, one of the classiest, and one of the most noted ski resorts in the world when it opened in the 1930s. it's regional dominance has eroded somewhat - Killington, Sunday River, and Sugerloaf, among others, have all captured large shares of the New England market. But this historic resort, first developed in the 1930s, still has loads of charm and plenty of excellent runs.
