Bradenton Beach is a coastal city along the Gulf of Mexico in Manatee County in the U.S. state of Florida, where it encompasses the southernmost portions of Anna Maria Island, a barrier island it shares with the neighboring cities of Anna Maria and Holmes Beach. A bridge to the south connects to the neighboring island and town of Longboat Key.

Until the late 1920's, the community was known as Cortez Beach. The city of Bradenton Beach incorporated in 1952.

The total area of Bradenton Beach is 1 sq mi (2.8 km2), and fifty-percent of this area is on land. The city's population in the 2,000 census was 1,482.
